We regularly gather feedback from the people who experience and work alongside The Pelican Project. Below are some of their reflections, in their own words.
I've been heard, my son has been heard- people in the background, unseen people. It's really powerful.

Having these partners means my daughter has opportunities for lots of different activities which she wouldn’t be able to access otherwise. She has met new people and when she’s out in the community these partners and other members recognise her and speak to her. She has grown her circle of people she knows and who know her, which can only be a good thing.

I would like to thank you for all the support and inspiration Pelicans has offered my daughter during the past year, particularly at a time were there were many difficult challenges in her life life. Pelican has given her much in so many ways including friendship, fun, inclusion, acceptance, music, parties and so much more.
TPP has become an essential part of my son’s life and general well-being.

Pelican is fantastic and cateres for so many different abilities. I love the fact that the Pelicans can lead their own learning and there’s no pressure for them to take place in every activity.

Thank you so much for everything you do for the community. When the pain and hardship experienced by individuals and families becomes too heavy to carry alone, creating a space where people can come together and recognise one another’s presence can give them the strength to keep going and the courage to face life again.

TPP is a creative, open, relaxed, dignified, resourceful, calm place. How at ease everyone is. there was no differentiation in the interactions between the people, which is really hard to achieve and can only happen if you’re really clear in yourself about your aims.
