Funders, Donors and Investors

We are a micro-Community Interest Company with an established and unique position in the post-school landscape and wider community. We are constantly evolving in response to the ever-changing realities of our members lives and the wider economic landscape.

The majority of our program is supported by grant holders, which isn’t guaranteed. Donations, big and small, and the broader investment of people who want to support our vision, are crucial to achieving our aims.

How to invest in us

As a Community Interest Company, we are not-for-profit and our purpose is to serve the community. We are not a registered charity, meaning we cannot receive ‘gift-aid’ directly. We use a platform called Local Giving, who act as an intermediary for our donations and enable us to receive gift aid.

If you are unable to make your donation online, we welcome cheques that can be made payable to The Pelican Project Exeter CIC, or Bacs transfers (details available on request at info@pelicanproject.org.uk). We also welcome cash donations, which can be arranged by contacting us at info@pelicanproject.org.uk. We are unable to receive gift-aid on cash/ cheque donations.

How we use donations

Grant funding is vital to sustaining our core program. Donations that contribute to ‘unrestricted funding’, provides us with a rarer opportunity to allocate resources more flexibly. This helps us respond more spontaneously and efficiently to opportunities in our community, which we believe is an essential part of an authentic experience of adult life- for most of us, not everything is planned months in advance.

We are a dynamic organisation with high aspirations for our members and clear strategic and operational development plans. If you would like to discuss how a donation might be used towards our organisational aims, find out more about our plans, or explore other kinds of support you may be able to offer, please contact our managing director, Charlie Robinson: charlie@pelicanproject.org.uk

Thank you for your support!
