Community
Indy Art is a dynamic visual arts group rooted in Exeter’s cultural scene. Based at Positive Light Projects, members regularly participate in events like Exeter Pride and Art Week Exeter, and take part in public art projects across the city. Guest artists frequently join us, and members are recognised as contributors to Exeter’s cultural life.
Belonging
Indy Art fosters creativity and independence. Members learn to generate ideas, make creative choices, and see projects through. Their artwork is showcased alongside professionals, giving visibility to “learning-disabled artists” as cultural leaders in their community.
Purpose
A friendly, flexible space where every member is seen as an artist. Members can bring their own creative projects or join in with guided sessions led by professional tutors. Activities are designed so individuals can express themselves in their own way.
